Ichiro is a professional baseball player. He belongs to the Seattle Mariners. He is the pride of Japan.

His full name is Ichiro Suzuki. He was born in Aichi, Japan on October 22, 1973. He started learning baseball at the age of six. He was a pitcher when he was a high school student. He got in a traffic accident, so he changed to a fielder.

After he completed high school, he joined the Orix Blue Waves in 1991. From 1991 to 2000, he played for Orix. He won a lot of titles.

In 2001, he transferred to the Seattle Mariners. He was the first Japanese major league outfielder. He has hit more than 200 for ten consecutive years. He is called the American wizard and the Hit Machine.

He keeps playing baseball. His life is baseball. People have high hopes for him. Is he human?
