I went to airport internship for two weeks in summer vacation. The place is Miyako Airport in Miyako Island. The reason I chose the internship of the airport is because I have been interested in it since before. I am always excited when I go to an airport because I like the atmosphere. And, since an airport is not a place which I go frequently, I become glad. Moreover, I chose the airport internship because I like airplanes. Therefore, I thought that I would like to actually work at an airport. I thought that I would like to know the good part and the serious part of an airport.

I actually did and felt various things. First, this work is very hard. You have to run about various places for a long time. Then, I thought that I need physical strength to do the work. Second, teamwork is very important for the work. An airplane can't fly if there is no teamwork. So I learned the importance of the team play there. Finally, I understood something about when the airplane was able fly on schedule. I thought that this was the joy which would be impossible without everybody's cooperation.

I learned various jobs in two weeks. For example, how to check-in, to receive luggage, to prepare visitor's meeting and a send-off, to check a boarding pass, to help physically handicapped people, and to make announcement. In addition, I had precious experiences. For example, I sat in the cockpit. I saw the inside of a plane, and I rode in a special car. Since I did not think that I would have such a precious experience, I was very impressed. Moreover, when we didn't have to work, my co-workers showed me around Miyako Island, and I went to have a meal. The best recommendation in Miyako Island is the sea. The sea in Miyako Island is very beautiful. It was the first time I saw such a beautiful sea. The next time I go there, I want to go sightseeing.

At first, I was full of uneasiness. However, all employees were only kind and interesting people. I thought that two weeks were long. However, it all happened in an instant. I think that it was good practice for becoming a member of society. And these two weeks were really pleasant for me. It was a worthy experience for me. I will never forget the experience.
